About The Position
A Home Help Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) provides personal and healthcare services according to written directions prepared by the Home Help client care coordinator. The CNA maintains the Core Values supporting EverTrue’s Christian Mission, “Older Adults Living Life to the Fullest.” This part-time position is for weekends and involves providing care in clients’ homes and/or EverTrue Communities in the listed service areas. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, household tasks, meals, and errands; observing clients and communicating changes in their condition; and completing required documentation. The employee travels in the community and may encounter weather conditions and potentially unsafe environments. Requirements
- Current CNA certification.
- Previous experience working with the older adult population.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Willingness and ability to travel to and work at clients’ homes and/or EverTrue Communities in the applicable service areas: St. Louis County, St. Louis City, and St. Charles County in Missouri; or Madison County, Monroe County, and St. Clair County in Illinois.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in private duty or long-term care.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance, preferred for providing transportation to errands and offsite appointments.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, eating, dressing, bathing, toileting, exercise, and ambulation.
- Perform household duties such as bed making, personal laundry, ironing, and light housekeeping.
- Observe clients, identify changing needs and conditions, and communicate changes in physical or emotional status to the Home Help RN or appropriate office staff.
- Prepare meals based on client needs, assist clients during mealtimes, and feed clients who need full assistance.
- Accompany clients to doctor appointments and shop or run errands as needed.
- Remind clients to take medications as needed.
- Communicate availability schedules to Home Help office staff.
- Complete and submit required paperwork according to company policy.
- Document tasks performed in the client’s home on appropriate paperwork.
- Perform other job-related duties or follow other job-related instructions as requested, subject to applicable laws and standards.

- Hourly pay of $16.20 to $25.15, with eligibility for shift differentials: $1.50 per hour for evenings, $1.00 per hour for nights, and $1.00 per hour for weekends in Illinois and Missouri; rates may vary in other states.
