Part-Time Veterinarian -- Weekends Only
About The Position
Island Veterinary Clinic is hiring an experienced Associate Veterinarian for a weekends-only role at its neighborhood hospital on Wilmington Island in Savannah, Georgia. The clinic has served the Islands since 1973 and offers general small-animal care for dogs and cats, including wellness exams, vaccinations, dental care, surgery, and microchipping. The veterinarian will work with an experienced support team and build relationships with clients and their families. The practice supports local humane organizations, schools, and charities. The position offers competitive compensation for weekend shifts and does not include overnight shifts or on-call duty. The set schedule is Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with weekdays free. The clinic is located on Wilmington Island, between Savannah and the Atlantic coast.
Requirements
- DVM degree.
- Active or eligible Georgia veterinary license.
- Experienced small-animal veterinarian comfortable seeing appointments and performing surgery independently.
- Warm, client-friendly communication style.
- Reliability and interest in weekend work.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of clinical experience preferred.
