About The Position
BrightStar Care is hiring compassionate Home Health Aides for part-time work providing one-to-one care to clients in their homes. Duties include companionship, light housekeeping, transportation, and hands-on personal care. Scheduling is flexible, with the greatest need after 4 p.m., on weekends, and in the early mornings. Shifts range from one to 12 hours. One-hour shifts pay $30 per hour, two-hour shifts pay $22.50 per hour, and shifts of three hours or longer pay a base rate of $19–$22 per hour, based on experience. The position offers an opportunity to support clients’ comfort and daily needs as part of a care coordination team.
Requirements
- Compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience providing hands-on care in a setting such as home health, assisted living, a group home, or a hospital.
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
- Negative TB test or cleared chest X-ray.
- Availability to work two weekend days per month.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and conversation to clients.
- Assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
- Provide hands-on assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings and provide transportation as needed.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health, behavior, and needs.
- Communicate with the RN Case Manager as a member of the care coordination team to update the plan of care.
