About The Position

The Seasonal Cashier is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and helping maintain a clean and organized store. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, loss-prevention, safety, and labor standards. The cashier may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

Responsibilities include accurately processing purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, preparing and merchandising merchandise, and participating in store recovery and cleanliness. The role supports store culture and shrink-reduction goals, follows established procedures, and communicates with customers, peers, and supervisors. The position is part-time and offers a starting pay range of $13.50 to $14.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
• Give and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs.
