About The Position

The Seasonal Part-Time Cashier is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience practices, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The cashier processes purchases and returns accurately, promotes credit and loyalty programs, and supports merchandising, store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. The position also contributes to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect, and provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following established customer experience practices.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow merchandising procedures and standards and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the entire store.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.
