About The Position

Visiting Angels of Reading is seeking Home Health Aides to work in and around Berks and Northern Chester County. The role involves providing one-on-one assistance and companionship to seniors and/or disabled adults in their homes. Part-time and full-time positions are available, with day, evening, and overnight shifts as well as shifts of various lengths and PRN options. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least six months of professional or personal caregiving experience, and reliable transportation. Applicants should be reliable, professional, and enjoy assisting others. Dementia or Alzheimer’s experience and CNA credentials are preferred but not required. References and background checks will be conducted, and the employer promotes a drug-free environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least six months of professional or personal experience caring for seniors and/or disabled adults.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care, including oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
Provide medication reminders.
Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, and vacuuming.
Plan, prepare, and serve meals.
Assist with transfers, walking, and physical activity.
Provide transportation to appointments, activities, errands, and shopping.
Provide companionship and cheerful, positive assistance.
