About The Position
Empath Personal Care, part of Empath Health, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Health Aide to serve patients in their homes in Sarasota and Manatee counties. The role provides personalized, high-quality care and assistance with daily living activities, supporting patients’ comfort, dignity, and independence. The position offers PRN scheduling and weekly competitive pay.
Requirements
- Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License) or HHA Certification.
- CPR certification; in-house classes are available if needed.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle within the service area.
- Valid Florida Driver License and proof of auto insurance.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of six months of healthcare or home health experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with daily living activities to patients in their homes.
- Support patients’ comfort, dignity, and independence through individualized care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated service.
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to appropriate clinical staff.
- Travel within the assigned service area to deliver care as scheduled.
