About The Position
Silver Lining is looking for compassionate individuals to start their careers in healthcare as Home Health Aides (HHAs) in the Rehoboth, Lewes, and surrounding areas. The company offers a free, 2-week in-person HHA certification course, with training provided. Silver Lining is a client-driven company dedicated to helping aging adults live life to the fullest and supporting its Care Family in purpose-driven work. They are one of the largest privately owned home care companies in the Mid-Atlantic and have been trusted by families since 2013.
Requirements
- Eligible to work in the U.S. (sponsorship not provided).
- Pass a criminal background check that meets hiring guidelines.
- Complete a physical exam and 2-step PPD/TSpot/FingerPrinting.
- Able to lift, position, and transfer a client.
- Compassionate, respectful, and committed to excellent care.
Nice To Haves
- No experience necessary.
Responsibilities
- Attend classroom lectures and hands-on skills practice sessions.
- Complete assigned homework between training sessions.
- Participate in optional open lab sessions for extra practice.
- Pass Friday skills competency sign-offs.
- Pick up shifts after successful completion of the course and orientation.
- Support clients with behavioral and mental health needs.
- Lift, position, and transfer clients.
