About The Position
Silver Lining Home Health Care is hiring full- and part-time Home Health Aides (HHAs) in the Sussex County Area. They offer a free, 2-week HHA certification course, held in person, to help individuals start their careers in healthcare. The company is client-driven, aiming to support aging adults and its Care Family in purpose-driven work. They have been a trusted provider since 2013 and are one of the largest privately owned home care companies in the Mid-Atlantic.
Requirements
- Eligible to work in the U.S. (sponsorship not provided).
- Pass a criminal background check that meets hiring guidelines.
- Complete a physical exam and 2-step PPD/TSpot/FingerPrinting.
- Compassionate, respectful, and committed to excellent care.
Responsibilities
- Attend classroom sessions mixing lecture with hands-on skills practice.
- Complete assigned homework between training sessions.
- Utilize optional open lab for extra practice time.
- Pass competency sign-offs on Fridays to test skills.
- Pick up shifts after successful completion of the course and orientation.
- Support clients with behavioral and mental health needs.
- Lift, position, and transfer a client.
