About The Position

Silver Lining is hiring full- and part-time Home Health Aides in the Sussex County area and provides a free, in-person, two-week HHA certification course for candidates with no prior experience. Training takes place Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, combining classroom lectures with hands-on skills practice. Homework is required between sessions, Wednesdays offer an optional open lab, and Fridays include competency sign-offs. After completing the course and orientation, caregivers can begin picking up shifts. Behavioral Health Paraprofessional training is also included to prepare caregivers to support clients with behavioral and mental health needs. Shifts after certification may be full- or part-time and include days, nights, and weekends, with scheduling built around the caregiver.

Requirements

• Eligible to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.
• Pass a criminal background check that meets the company's hiring guidelines.
• Complete a physical exam and 2-step PPD/TSpot/FingerPrinting.
• Able to lift, position, and transfer a client.
• Compassionate, respectful, and committed to excellent care.
• No prior experience or certification is necessary; HHA certification training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Attend classroom instruction and participate in hands-on skills practice during the two-week HHA course.
• Complete required homework between training sessions.
• Demonstrate skills through Friday competency sign-offs.
• After certification and orientation, provide care to clients and pick up shifts.
• Support clients with behavioral and mental health needs, with preparation through included Behavioral Health Paraprofessional training.
• Be able to lift, position, and transfer a client.
