About The Position

Silver Lining is hiring full- and part-time Home Health Aides in the Kent County area and provides a free, in-person, two-week HHA certification course for people with no experience. Training takes place Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and includes lectures, hands-on skills practice, homework between sessions, and competency sign-offs on Fridays. An optional open lab is available on Wednesdays. After completing the course and orientation, trainees can pick up shifts. Behavioral Health Paraprofessional training is also included. Shifts after certification may be full- or part-time and include days, nights, and weekends, with scheduling built around the caregiver.

Requirements

• Eligible to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.
• Pass a criminal background check that meets the company's hiring guidelines.
• Complete a physical exam and 2-step PPD/TSpot/FingerPrinting.
• Able to lift, position, and transfer a client.
• Compassionate, respectful, and committed to excellent care.
• No prior experience or certification is necessary; certification training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Attend classroom training and participate in lectures and hands-on skills practice.
• Complete required homework between training sessions.
• Complete competency sign-offs during Friday sessions.
• After certification and orientation, provide home health aide care to clients and pick up shifts.
• Be able to lift, position, and transfer a client.
• Support clients with behavioral and mental health needs, with Behavioral Health Paraprofessional training provided.
