About The Position
Maximum Care, Inc. is hiring a Direct Care Worker to support elderly people, people with disabilities, and participants with intellectual disabilities. The role provides respectful, compassionate care that protects each participant’s dignity and rights and supports their physical and emotional needs related to illness, injury, or disability. Work may include personal care, household assistance, errands, transportation, companionship, and help with daily living needs. Flexible schedules are available, and the employer states that the position may be part-time or full-time.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to complete a criminal background report.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
- Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for sometimes-long periods.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to participants and care for their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.
- Support participants’ physical and emotional care needs related to illness, injury, disability, or other circumstances.
- Provide light housekeeping, run errands, and provide transportation when needed.
- Accompany clients to appointments and assist with or provide medication reminders.
- Prepare meals, purchase food, and provide personal assistance with general living needs.
- Assist with toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging, and assisting individuals.
