About The Position
Maximum Care, Inc. is seeking a Spanish-speaking Direct Care Worker to provide home care to seniors and other participants in the Lehigh Valley. The role involves respectful physical and emotional care for people affected by illness, injury, disability, or other needs. Aides support clients with everyday activities, household tasks, errands, transportation, appointments, meals, personal care, and companionship. The employer offers flexible schedules and mobile-app-based application and training, with face-to-face interactions conducted via Zoom. The position is described as available part time or full time.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to complete a criminal background report.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for sometimes long periods.
Responsibilities
- Care for participants and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.
- Provide physical and emotional care to participants due to illness, injury, disability, or other needs.
- Provide light housekeeping, run errands, and provide transportation when needed.
- Accompany clients to appointments and assist with or remind them about medications.
- Prepare meals, purchase food, and assist with general living needs.
- Provide personal assistance, which may include toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging, and assisting individuals.
