About The Position

ComForCare Home Care is hiring caregivers to provide one-on-one, in-home care that helps seniors and adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. The role offers flexible scheduling, with full-time and part-time opportunities and shifts ranging from 3 to 12 hours based on availability. Shifts may be mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights, and weekends; weekends are not required or may be scheduled on a rotating basis. Paid training is provided, and candidates with or without prior caregiving experience are encouraged to apply.

Caregivers work independently in clients’ homes and are thoughtfully matched with compatible clients. Support is available while caregivers are in the field. The service area includes communities throughout Northern Michigan and surrounding areas. The position pays $17.00–$18.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle.
• Ability to work independently in clients’ homes.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Caregiving experience is a plus but is not required.
• Applicants with experience as caregivers, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), or in hospitality, retail, or customer service are encouraged to apply.
• Motivation to learn and participate in paid training.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Transport clients to appointments and run errands.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Offer companionship and conversation.
• Support clients’ hobbies, activities, and social engagement.
