About The Position

ComForCare Home Care is hiring caregivers to provide one-on-one, in-home care that helps seniors and adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes. The role is open to experienced caregivers and people new to caregiving; paid training is provided. Caregivers work independently in clients’ homes and build supportive relationships through personal care, practical assistance, and companionship.

Full-time and part-time positions are available, with shifts ranging from 3 to 12 hours based on availability. Morning, afternoon, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts are offered. Weekends are not required for some schedules or may be rotating. The service area includes communities throughout Northern Michigan.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license and a reliable insured vehicle.
• Be able to work independently in clients’ homes.
• Have strong communication and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Caregiving experience is a plus but is not required.
• Relevant backgrounds include caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), Direct Support Professional (DSP), hospitality, retail, or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide transportation to appointments and errands.
• Remind clients to take medications.
• Offer companionship and conversation.
• Support clients’ hobbies, activities, and social engagement.
