About The Position
Visiting Angels is a home care agency based in Evansville, Indiana, serving Chandler, Evansville, Booneville, and surrounding areas. The Home Health Aide provides compassionate care and assistance to individuals in need in their homes. The position offers flexible scheduling, competitive hourly pay, and paid training. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.
Requirements
- Previous HHA or CNA experience is welcome, but no experience is necessary.
- Complete a TB skin test; it is paid for by Visiting Angels.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Maintain active, current automobile insurance.
- Have a dependable vehicle for travel to and from shifts and for transporting clients.
- Pass a background check.
- Be able to work at least one weekend a month; one weekend a month is mandatory.
- Have a love for working with elderly or disabled individuals.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, toileting, and transferring.
- Perform light housekeeping, including dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens.
- Provide basic companionship.
- Transport clients for errands.
- Prepare meals and cook for clients.
- Provide medication reminders.
