About The Position

We are looking for a Home Health Aide to provide one-on-one care to clients in their homes according to individual care plans. The role involves providing personalized, attentive care and building genuine relationships with clients while maintaining an organized, healthy environment that meets their needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed. Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited Home Health Aide program or pass the Florida Home Health Aide competency test administered before the interview.
High school diploma or GED.
More than five years of prior experience in senior caregiving.
Valid driver’s license.
Proof of auto insurance with the applicant’s name on the policy.
Proof of current CPR certification from a course certified by the American Heart Association, including in-person validation of skills.
Ability to pass AHCA background screening.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs.

Nice To Haves

Prior Home Health or Hospice experience.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily activities, including transferring in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles.
Care for clients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, preparing meals, or assisting with personal care.
Maintain records of client care, condition, progress, or problems, and report and discuss observations with a supervisor.
Build relationships with patients through conversation or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert.
Give medication reminders.
Engage patients in exercises or other activities.
