About The Position
Iowa Home Care is hiring a part-time Home Health Aide / CNA to support clients in the Marshalltown, Iowa area. Under the direction of skilled nursing staff, the aide provides compassionate personal care and supports clients’ daily routines so they can live safely, independently, and comfortably at home. The role involves building trusting connections with clients during each visit and working collaboratively with the care team.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care and commitment to client safety and well-being.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- CNA certification in good standing on the Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in home care, nursing home, or hospital settings preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and mobility support.
- Take and record vital signs as directed.
- Assist with toileting, catheter care, and G-tube care.
- Help with light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, and vacuuming.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols using appropriate PPE.
- Communicate changes in a client’s condition to the RN and care team.
- Offer emotional support and a compassionate presence during every visit.
