About The Position

Seniornest Homecare is hiring Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for live-in and hourly home-care cases in Paterson, New Jersey, and throughout Bergen and Passaic Counties. The agency describes itself as nurse-owned and caregiver-focused, with a Registered Nurse with more than 35 years of hands-on patient-care experience supporting caregivers. The position offers hourly pay of $21 or more per hour and live-in pay of $200 or more per day, depending on the case and experience. Part-time and full-time work, flexible schedules, and fill-in and permanent cases are available. Caregivers may select cases and make their own hours. Immediate openings are available, with a hiring and onboarding process intended to allow caregivers to begin working quickly when cases are available.

Caregivers provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living in clients’ homes, offer companionship, assist with care-related light housekeeping, follow individualized care plans, report changes in clients’ conditions, and maintain a safe environment using appropriate infection-control and PPE procedures. Seniornest Homecare offers 24/7 staff support. The local office is at 140 E. Ridgewood Avenue, Paramus, NJ.

Requirements

• Current New Jersey CHHA or CNA license in good standing.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• At least 6 months of caregiving experience in a facility or home-care setting.
• Current PPD test from within the last 12 months and MMR vaccination record.
• Ability to read and follow a care plan and complete activities of daily living safely and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and ambulation, according to the care plan.
• Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support to clients in their homes.
• Assist with light housekeeping related to client care, such as tidying, laundry, and meal assistance, as directed by the care plan.
• Follow each client’s individualized care plan and communicate changes in condition to the office or supervising nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and use appropriate infection-control and PPE procedures.
