Home Health Aide (CHHA) / CNA – Live-in & Hourly –Paramus- Immediate Hire
About The Position
Seniornest Homecare is hiring Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) for live-in and hourly caregiving cases in Paterson, New Jersey, and throughout Bergen and Passaic Counties. The agency is nurse-owned and offers support from a Registered Nurse with more than 35 years of hands-on patient care experience, as well as staff available 24/7. Hourly pay starts at $21 per hour, depending on the case and experience. Live-in pay starts at $200 per day, with fill-in and permanent cases available. Part-time and full-time schedules are available, with flexible hours and the ability to choose cases. Hiring may include a same-day phone interview, an online application, and onboarding; workers may be scheduled the same day onboarding is completed when cases are available. Caregivers provide personal care and companionship in clients’ homes, assist with care-related household tasks, follow individualized care plans, communicate changes in clients’ conditions, and maintain a safe environment using appropriate infection-control and PPE procedures.
Requirements
- Hold a current New Jersey CHHA or CNA license in good standing.
- Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Have at least 6 months of caregiving experience in a facility or home-care setting.
- Have a current PPD test from within the last 12 months and an MMR vaccination record.
- Be able to read and follow a care plan and complete activities of daily living safely and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and ambulation, according to the care plan.
- Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support to clients in their homes.
- Assist with light housekeeping related to client care, including tidying, laundry, and meal assistance, as directed by the care plan.
- Follow each client’s individualized care plan and communicate changes in condition to the office or supervising nurse.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and use appropriate infection-control and PPE procedures.
