Home Health Aide (CHHA) / CNA – Live-in & Hourly –Passaic- Immediate Hire
About The Position
Seniornest Homecare is hiring Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) for live-in and hourly home-care cases in Paterson, New Jersey, and throughout Bergen and Passaic Counties. The nurse-owned agency offers caregiver support from a Registered Nurse with more than 35 years of hands-on patient-care experience, as well as staff support available 24/7. Part-time and full-time schedules are available, with flexible scheduling and the option to choose cases. Hourly pay starts at $21 per hour, based on the case and experience; live-in pay starts at $200 per day. Fill-in and permanent cases are available. Hiring typically includes a phone interview, an online application, and onboarding and orientation. Candidates may be scheduled to work after completing onboarding when cases are available. The role provides personal care and support to clients in their homes, following individualized care plans and communicating changes in clients’ conditions to the office or supervising nurse.
Requirements
- Hold a current New Jersey CHHA or CNA license in good standing.
- Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Have at least six months of caregiving experience in a facility or home-care setting.
- Have a current PPD test, completed within the last 12 months, and an MMR vaccination record.
- Be able to read and follow a care plan and complete activities of daily living safely and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and ambulation, according to the care plan.
- Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support to clients in their homes.
- Assist with light housekeeping related to client care, including tidying, laundry, and meal assistance, as directed by the care plan.
- Follow each client’s individualized care plan and communicate changes in condition to the office or supervising nurse.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow appropriate infection-control and PPE procedures.
