About The Position

HouseWorks is hiring caregivers to provide compassionate, personalized home care that helps seniors live safely and comfortably in their own homes. The role is based in Waltham, Massachusetts, and may be full-time, part-time, or per diem. Duties include assisting clients with household and daily living needs, providing personal care and companionship, offering medication reminders, and documenting client activities and well-being. A specific assignment is described for a husband and wife expected to begin services in mid-September, with shifts of 8–10 hours, 5–7 days per week. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
HHA certificate or CNA license.
Must pass a criminal background check.
Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.

Nice To Haves

Open availability is strongly preferred.
Previous experience as a CNA, PCA, Homemaker, or Companion.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with light housekeeping, errands, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and transportation.
Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, mobility support, and incontinence care.
Offer companionship and conversation to promote emotional well-being.
Provide medication reminders as needed.
Document daily activities, client well-being, and changes in condition.
