Home Health Aide (CHHA) / CNA – Live-in & Hourly – Cranford -Immediate Hire
About The Position
Seniornest Homecare is hiring Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) for live-in and hourly cases in Paterson, New Jersey, and throughout Bergen and Passaic Counties. The nurse-owned agency provides caregiver support from a Registered Nurse with more than 35 years of hands-on patient care experience. Openings are available for part-time and full-time schedules, with flexible hours and a choice of cases. Caregivers provide personal care and companionship in clients’ homes, follow individualized care plans, assist with light housekeeping related to client care, and report changes in clients’ conditions. Pay is $21 or more per hour for hourly cases and $200 or more per day for live-in cases, based on the case and experience. Fill-in and permanent live-in cases are available. The hiring process includes a phone interview, an online application, and onboarding. Scheduling may begin the same day onboarding is completed when cases are available. Requirements
- Current New Jersey CHHA or CNA license in good standing.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- At least 6 months of caregiving experience in a facility or home care.
- Current PPD test within the last 12 months and MMR vaccination record.
- Ability to read and follow a care plan and complete activities of daily living safely and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and ambulation, according to the care plan.
- Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support to clients in their homes.
- Assist with light housekeeping related to client care, including tidying, laundry, and meal assistance, as directed by the care plan.
- Follow each client’s individualized care plan and communicate changes in condition to the office or supervising nurse.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and use appropriate infection-control and PPE procedures.
