About The Position

HomePointe HealthCare, a primarily pediatric homecare company, provides care to medically fragile children with acute or chronic illnesses in the comfort of their homes. Its mission is to help children reach their full potential and maintain optimal health through skilled, competent, and compassionate care. The Home Health Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant provides aide services under the direction of a Clinical Care Manager or Registered Nurse, supporting clients’ personal comfort and activities of daily living. This position is scheduled for weekends only and pays $16 per hour. The posting describes the role as part-time in its job-type label, although the description also says the company is hiring full-time aides.

Requirements

• Successfully complete a formal certification training program, written skills test, and competency evaluation as required by state and federal requirements.
• Have no continuous period of 24 consecutive months during which none of the certified services were furnished.
• Be listed in good standing on the state Certified Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide registry.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be CPR certified.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of six months’ work experience in a supervised setting, preferably in a health care facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide Home Health Aide services under the direction of the Clinical Care Manager or Registered Nurse.
• Perform services needed to maintain clients’ personal comfort and assist with activities of daily living.
• Perform household services.
• Report clinical information about the client’s status.
• May perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy or nursing services.
• Communicate with interdisciplinary team members through verbal reports, staff meetings, and team conferences as requested.
