About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses to provide one-on-one home care to pediatric and adult clients in Lakeland, Plant City, Winter Haven, Auburndale, Haines City, and Davenport. Cases include a range of ages, diagnoses, and acuity levels, with paid training available for advanced care such as tracheostomy and ventilator management. A high-priority Lakeland case is seeking a reliable, experienced pediatric nurse for ongoing day shifts, for at least two shifts each week. The client is an energetic four-year-old with a tracheostomy and ventilator. The parents currently handle tracheostomy care and changes until they are comfortable with the nurse’s skills. There are no pets in the home. LPNs can choose flexible schedules, with shifts available in 8-, 10-, or 12-hour lengths and on first, second, or third shift. PRN, part-time, and full-time schedules are available. There are no weekend or minimum-hour requirements. The role uses Statewise electronic charting and includes paid training and shadowing, simulation labs, short commutes through case matching, and 24/7 on-call clinical support.
Requirements
- Current valid nursing license.
- Graduation from a qualified nursing program.
- Current CPR card.
Nice To Haves
- Previous tracheostomy and ventilator experience is preferred for the high-priority Lakeland pediatric case, but is not required.
- Reliability and experience are sought for the high-priority pediatric case.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one home care to pediatric and adult clients.
- Deliver care appropriate to clients’ diagnoses and acuity levels.
- Provide tracheostomy and ventilator-related care when applicable, following training and client-specific arrangements.
- Complete electronic charting using Statewise.
