About The Position

BrightStar Care is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Home Care Field Specialist to provide high-quality home care to clients with diverse and often complex needs. The role includes 40 guaranteed hours per week and requires availability for 50 hours weekly to support flexible scheduling and coverage. The position involves travel throughout Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and surrounding cities; travel time is paid. Candidates must be comfortable working with Hoyer lifts and have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current auto insurance. Shifts range from 1 to 12 hours. One-hour shifts pay $30 per hour, two-hour shifts pay $22.50 per hour, and shifts of three hours or longer pay a base rate of $19–$22 per hour based on experience. Requirements

Have a compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Have hands-on care experience in a setting such as home health, assisted living, a group home, or a hospital.
Have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and auto insurance.
Have a negative TB test or cleared chest X-ray.
Be available to work two weekend days per month.
Be comfortable working with Hoyer lifts.
Be available for 50 hours per week to support scheduling and coverage.
Be comfortable traveling throughout Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and surrounding cities.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and conversation to enhance clients' lives.
Assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
Provide physical assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
Accompany clients to appointments or social outings and provide transportation as needed.
Monitor and report changes in clients' health, behavior, and needs.
Participate in the care coordination team and communicate with the RN Case Manager to update the plan of care.
