About The Position

Gosnold, Inc. is a nationally accredited nonprofit organization providing prevention, treatment, and recovery services for mental health and substance use disorders. The Driver operates company vehicles to transport clients to aftercare placements, treatment-related appointments, and recreational activities, and from referral points to program sites. The role requires a current, valid Massachusetts driver's license and flexibility in scheduling, as shifts may vary depending on transportation needs, including trips as far as Western Massachusetts.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Experience driving a variety of vehicles, including multi-passenger vans.
• Current, valid Massachusetts driver's license with a positive Registry of Motor Vehicles driver record check.
• Working knowledge of Massachusetts traffic laws.
• Ability to relate effectively to patients in a treatment setting and interact with addiction patients sensitively and without judgment.
• Knowledge of basic treatment or twelve-step concepts and ability to support basic recovery goals.

Responsibilities

• Drive a variety of vehicles, including multi-passenger vans, to transport clients.
• Transport clients to aftercare placements, treatment-related appointments, and recreational activities, and from referral points to program sites.
• Comply with road and vehicle safety and maintenance regulations.
• Interact positively and sensitively with clients to support their recovery plans.
• Participate in required educational and in-service training, including CPR and First Aid.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
