About The Position

A Home Help Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) provides personal and healthcare services according to written directions prepared by the Home Help client care coordinator. The position maintains EverTrue’s Core Values, which support its Christian Mission, “Older Adults Living Life to the Fullest.” The role serves clients in their homes and/or EverTrue Communities in the specified service areas of Missouri or Illinois. The stated schedule is part-time, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.

Requirements

Current CNA certification.
Previous experience working with the older adult population.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions.
Willingness and ability to travel to and work at clients’ homes and/or EverTrue Communities in the stated Missouri or Illinois geographical areas.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in private duty or long-term care.
Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance, preferred for providing transportation to errands and offsite appointments.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, eating, dressing, bathing, toileting, exercise, and ambulation.
Perform household duties such as bed making, personal laundry, ironing, and light housekeeping.
Observe clients and identify changing needs or conditions; communicate changes in their physical or emotional status to the Home Help RN or appropriate office staff.
Prepare meals according to clients’ needs, assist during mealtimes, and feed clients who require full assistance.
May accompany clients to doctor appointments, shop, or run errands.
May remind clients to take medications.
Communicate schedule availability to Home Help office staff.
Complete necessary paperwork and submit it according to company policy.
Document tasks performed in clients’ homes on the appropriate paperwork.
Travel to and work in clients’ homes and/or EverTrue Communities within the applicable service areas.
