About The Position

Touchmark in the West Hills is seeking compassionate, hospitality-minded Home Care Caregivers for its Home Care Services team, which serves residents of the retirement community. Caregivers assist residents with daily living activities in their homes, including personal care, household tasks, meal preparation, and grocery shopping. They also provide companionship through activities such as reading, walking, crafts, listening to music, and conversation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment.
• Willingness to continue learning and improving skills.
• Commitment to confidentiality.
• Ability to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Perform general housekeeping and laundry tasks.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals.
• Shop for groceries.
• Provide companionship, including reading, walking, doing crafts, listening to music, and having conversations.
