About The Position

Touchmark in the West Hills is seeking compassionate, hospitality-minded Home Care Caregivers for its Home Care Services team. The team serves residents of the community and operates from the Touchmark in the West Hills campus in Portland, Oregon. Caregivers support residents with daily living activities in their homes, provide companionship, and help enrich residents’ daily lives through Touchmark’s values of excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion. This is a part-time position paying $20.80–$24.32, depending on experience, plus shift differentials.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
Genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment.
Willingness to continue learning and improving skills.
Commitment to confidentiality.
Ability to maintain patient and tactful composure when interacting with residents, family members, staff members, and visitors.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Perform general housekeeping and laundry tasks.
Plan and prepare nutritious meals.
Assist with grocery shopping.
Provide companionship, such as reading, walking, doing crafts, listening to music, or having conversations.
Model Touchmark’s values and lead by example in safety, compassion, and empathy.
