About The Position

Join a caregiving team that values you while providing meaningful work. Oasis provides support to clients and families through caregivers and staff. The role serves long-term clients who need qualified caregivers for hourly shifts ranging from 2 to 12 hours per day, depending on the client. There is a primary need for daytime caregivers, and applicants with a state HCA number and clearance are eligible for priority screening. Work is available ASAP. The position offers weekly pay, the ability to choose workable hours, work close to home, team support, and recognition for meaningful work.

Requirements

At least one year of recent caregiving experience.
Reliable transportation and the ability to arrive on time for assigned shifts.
Flexible hours and scheduling, with the ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Ability to handle a physical workload.
Ability to effectively handle difficult and sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
Must clear five background checks and a drug screen.
Must be registered, or willing to register, with the state as a Home Care Aide as required by law.

Nice To Haves

Experience in hospice, home health, or other related fields.
A state HCA number and clearance qualify applicants for priority screening.

Responsibilities

Provide routine individualized care to elderly people, convalescents, or people with disabilities.
Monitor and report changes in patients’ health status.
Provide personal care, including bathing and dressing patients.
Provide specialized healthcare, such as administering medication and changing bandages.
Teach family members ways to care for the patient.
Treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect.
Communicate with clients in a friendly, professional, and respectful manner.
