About The Position

Interim HealthCare is hiring Home Care Aides/Caregivers to support seniors in living safely and happily at home. The role provides personal care and assistance with daily activities, along with companionship and support tailored to clients’ needs. Caregivers work at a 1:1 aide-to-client ratio. The posting seeks coverage for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., while also noting that caregivers can set their own schedules.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in California.
• CPR certification.
• COVID-19 vaccination card.
• Valid California driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
• Compassionate and helpful nature, good communication skills, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in a healthcare role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to help seniors live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
• Help clients with ambulation, transferring, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document clients’ conditions, and notify a supervisor of concerns.
• Maintain a safe home environment, including keeping pathways unobstructed.
• Participate in enjoyable activities with clients, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.
