About The Position

Senior Helpers of North Valley is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers to support older adults with their daily routines in their homes. Caregivers serve clients in Studio City, Glendale, Burbank, North Hollywood, Valley Village, and nearby Los Angeles communities. Assignments are one-on-one and are matched to caregivers’ skills, experience, and location whenever possible. Schedules are flexible based on caregiver availability and client needs, and applicants are asked to identify the days, hours, and communities in which they can consistently work. The company provides paid orientation, ongoing caregiver training, and support from its local office and scheduling team.

Requirements

• A caring, patient, and respectful approach.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and clear communication.
• Reliable transportation to assigned clients’ homes.
• Active California Home Care Aide registration, or willingness to complete registration before providing care.
• Ability to meet California’s required background clearance or approved exemption requirements and provide required TB clearance documentation.
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the assigned role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• A valid driver’s license and appropriate auto insurance for assignments that require driving clients.

Nice To Haves

• Previous caregiving experience is preferred.
• CNA and HHA applicants are welcome; a nursing license is not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship through conversation, activities, and everyday encouragement.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other personal care according to the client’s care plan.
• Prepare meals and help with light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide medication reminders according to the care plan.
• Assist with walking and safe transfers using appropriate training and equipment.
• Support clients living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.
• Help with errands and appointments when assigned.
• Complete shift documentation and promptly report changes or concerns to the office.
