About The Position

Interim HealthCare is hiring Home Care Aides/Caregivers to provide personalized, home-based care to seniors in Dunsmuir, Mt. Shasta, and Yreka, California. The role offers $18.00 per hour, with 31 hours available to start. Aides provide personal care and support so clients can live safely at home, while offering companionship and helping make each day brighter. The position features 1:1 aide-to-client ratios and a schedule that employees can set themselves. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Clear background check and drug screen; the employer states it does not test for THC.
Valid California driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
Compassionate, helpful nature and good communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a healthcare role is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to help seniors live safely at home.
Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
Help clients with ambulation, transferring, and range-of-motion exercises.
Provide medication reminders, document clients’ conditions, and notify a supervisor of concerns.
Maintain a safe home environment, including keeping pathways unobstructed.
Engage clients in enjoyable activities such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.
