Home Care Aide - Caregiver

About The Position
Join a caregiving team that values you while providing meaningful work. Oasis is hiring caregivers for ongoing, long-term clients who need qualified care during hourly shifts that vary from 2 to 12 hours per day, depending on the client. The primary need is for daytime caregivers. Applicants who already have a state Home Care Aide number and clearance are eligible for priority screening. Work is available as soon as possible.
Requirements
- At least one year of recent caregiving experience.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to arrive on time for assigned shifts.
- Flexible hours and scheduling, with the ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to handle a physical workload.
- Ability to effectively handle difficult and sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
- Must clear five background checks and a drug screen.
- Must be registered or willing to register with the state as a Home Care Aide as required by law.
- Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect.
- Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly, professional, and respectful manner.
Responsibilities
- Provide routine, individualized care to elderly people, convalescents, or people with disabilities.
- Monitor and report changes in patients’ health status.
- Provide personal care, such as bathing and dressing.
- Provide specialized healthcare, such as administering medication and changing bandages.
- Teach family members ways to care for the patient.
