About The Position

Oasis is seeking caregivers to provide individualized care to elderly people, convalescents, and people with disabilities in their homes. Clients have hourly shifts ranging from 2 to 12 hours per day, depending on their needs. The primary need is for daytime caregivers. The position offers flexible scheduling, the ability to work close to home, weekly pay, and support from a caregiving team. Work is available as soon as possible.

Requirements

• At least one year of recent caregiving experience.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to arrive on time for assigned shifts.
• Flexible availability, including the ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to handle a physical workload.
• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect.
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly, professional, and respectful manner.
• Ability to effectively handle difficult and sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
• Must clear five background checks and a drug screen.
• Must be registered, or willing to register, with the state as a Home Care Aide as required by law.

Nice To Haves

• A current state Home Care Aide number and clearance qualify candidates for priority screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine individualized care to elderly people, convalescents, or people with disabilities.
• Monitor and report changes in a patient's health status.
• Provide personal care, including bathing and dressing patients.
• Provide specialized healthcare, such as administering medication and changing bandages.
• Teach family members ways to care for the patient.
