About The Position

Join a caregiving team that values you and supports you in meaningful work. Oasis provides care and support to clients and their families through caregivers and staff. Long-term clients need qualified caregivers for hourly shifts that currently vary from 2 to 12 hours per day, depending on the client. The primary need is for daytime caregivers. Caregivers with a state Home Care Aide number and clearance are eligible for priority screening. Work is available ASAP.

Requirements

• At least one year of recent caregiving experience.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to arrive on time to assigned shifts.
• Flexible scheduling and the ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to handle a physical workload.
• Ability to handle difficult and sensitive issues effectively and maintain confidentiality.
• Must clear five background checks and a drug screen.
• Must be registered or willing to register with the state as a Home Care Aide as required by law.
• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect.
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly, professional, and respectful manner.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in hospice, home health, or other related fields.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine individualized care to elderly people, convalescents, or people with disabilities.
• Monitor and report changes in patients’ health status.
• Provide personal care, including bathing and dressing patients.
• Provide specialized healthcare, such as administering medication and changing bandages.
• Teach family members ways to care for the patient.
