About The Position

Interim HealthCare is hiring a Caregiver/Home Care Aide to provide personalized, home-based care to seniors in the Lakehead, Redding, and Shingletown areas. The role supports clients who face age- or health-related obstacles to daily activities, helping them live safely at home and bringing companionship and enjoyment to their day. Caregivers work with a 1:1 aide-to-client ratio and can set their own schedules.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clear background check and drug screen; the employer does not test for THC.
• Valid California driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
• Compassionate, helpful nature and good communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in a healthcare role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support that helps seniors live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
• Help clients with ambulation, transferring, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document clients’ conditions, and notify a supervisor of concerns.
• Maintain a safe home environment, including keeping pathways unobstructed.
• Participate in enjoyable client activities such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.
