About The Position

Join a caregiving team that values you while providing meaningful work. Oasis has long-term clients who need qualified caregivers for hourly shifts that currently vary from 2 to 12 hours a day, depending on the client. The primary need is for daytime caregivers. Caregivers provide support and peace of mind to clients and their families. Work is available as soon as possible. Candidates who already have a state Home Care Aide number and clearance are eligible for priority screening.

Requirements

At least one year of recent caregiving experience.
Reliable transportation and the ability to arrive on time for assigned shifts.
Flexible hours and scheduling, with the ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Ability to handle a physical workload.
Ability to handle difficult and sensitive issues effectively and maintain confidentiality.
Must clear five background checks and a drug screen.
Must be registered, or willing to register, with the state as a Home Care Aide as required by law.

Nice To Haves

Experience in hospice, home health, or other related fields.
A state Home Care Aide number and clearance qualify candidates for priority screening.

Responsibilities

Provide routine individualized care to elderly people, convalescents, or people with disabilities.
Monitor and report changes in a patient's health status.
Provide personal care, including bathing and dressing patients.
Provide specialized healthcare, such as administering medication and changing bandages.
Teach family members ways to care for the patient.
Treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect.
Communicate with clients in a friendly, professional, and respectful manner.
