About The Position

Join a caregiving team supporting long-term clients and helping older adults, convalescents, and people with disabilities. Caregivers provide individualized assistance and healthcare tasks, monitor clients’ health, and support families with patient care. Hourly shifts currently range from 2 to 12 hours per day, depending on the client. There is a primary need for daytime caregivers, and caregivers with a state Home Care Aide number and clearance are eligible for priority screening. Work is available as soon as possible.

Requirements

At least one year of recent caregiving experience.
Reliable transportation and the ability to arrive on time for assigned shifts.
Flexible hours and scheduling, with the ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Ability to handle a physical workload.
Ability to handle difficult and sensitive issues effectively and maintain confidentiality.
Must clear five background checks and a drug screen.
Must be registered or willing to register with the state as a Home Care Aide, as required by law.

Nice To Haves

Experience in hospice, home health, or other related fields.
A state Home Care Aide number and clearance qualify candidates for priority screening.

Responsibilities

Provide routine, individualized care to elderly clients, convalescents, or people with disabilities.
Monitor and report changes in a patient’s health status.
Provide personal care, such as bathing and dressing patients.
Provide specialized healthcare, such as administering medication and changing bandages.
Teach family members ways to care for the patient.
Treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect.
Communicate with clients in a friendly, professional, and respectful manner.
Arrive on time for assigned shifts.
