Home Care Aide - Transfer Experience Required
About The Position
Right at Home SLC is hiring compassionate, dependable, and professional caregivers to support seniors and adults with disabilities in maintaining their independence and quality of life. Caregivers provide one-on-one assistance in clients’ homes, building meaningful relationships and helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent. The role includes weekday day shifts with occasional Saturday availability. Transfer and mobility-support experience is required; experience using gait belts and providing hands-on ambulation assistance is strongly preferred. Experience working with people living with dementia is a plus.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Experience with transfers and mobility assistance required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, compassionate, and professional attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using gait belts and providing hands-on assistance with ambulation.
- Experience working with individuals living with dementia.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and other assistance with activities of daily living.
- Assist clients with transfers, mobility, and ambulation.
- Provide companionship.
- Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
- Provide transportation.
- Give medication reminders.
- Help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.
