About The Position

ComForCare Home Care of Seattle-Bellevue is seeking nurturing and dedicated individuals to join their team as Home Care Aides (HCAs). This role focuses on helping clients remain in their homes by providing personal care, homemaker/companion services, and transportation. This position is for a long-term, ongoing case providing care for a partially paralyzed male client in North Bend.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate.
  • Licensed to provide home care in Washington State (or qualified for paid HCA training).
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Home Care Aide (in homes or facilities) or other applicable experience is desired.
  • Must be listed in good standing on the Washington DSHS Background Check System.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation.
  • All ComForCare caregivers must be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with spinal cord injuries.
  • Experience with exercise programs.
  • Experience with specific conditions such as dementia, Parkinson's, etc.
  • Experience and comfort with holistic/integrative healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, nail/skin care, back care, foot care, shampoo, oral hygiene, ambulation, transfers, range of motion exercise, and changing position.
  • Assist with toileting, commode use, and incontinent care.
  • Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding.
  • Provide companionship and respite services for family.
  • Perform homemaking activities such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
  • Drive clients to medical appointments, errands, and visits with family and friends, potentially using own vehicle or client's vehicle.
  • Provide medication reminders.
