About The Position

Allied Universal Event Services is hiring part-time Event Security in Punta Gorda, Florida. The role supports event-day preparation and operations while helping maintain safety and provide superior customer service at venues and events. Duties include controlling access, screening guests, monitoring security checkpoints, responding to crowd-control concerns, and assisting guests with directions. Flexible scheduling is available, with work under 30 hours per week. Compensation is $17 per hour, and weekly pay is offered.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must hold a current Florida State Security D License.
Must successfully complete a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; additional screening may be required for roles involving driving a customer- or company-owned vehicle.
Able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in all aspects of event-day preparation and execution.
Manage venue entry by collecting or scanning tickets, verifying wristbands and badges, and directing incoming and outgoing traffic.
Screen guests at entry using bag searches, hand wands or metal detectors, and ID verification.
Monitor vital checkpoints for security breaches to protect guests, staff, and venue assets.
Respond quickly to potential crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when ejections are warranted.
Understand and follow the policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events.
Provide a positive experience for guests at entrances, aisles, concourses, and other locations.
Provide guests with helpful directions and suggestions to enhance their entertainment experience.
