About The Position

Allied Universal Event Services is hiring part-time Event Security staff to work at festivals, concerts, sporting events, and other venues in New Orleans. The role supports event preparation and operations while helping maintain guest and venue safety and providing superior customer service. Duties may include checking bags, enforcing access control, screening guests, monitoring security checkpoints, responding to crowd-control issues, and helping guests with directions. The position offers flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and a starting rate of $15.50 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Successfully complete a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; additional screening may be required when driving a customer- or company-owned vehicle.
Use good independent judgment and discretion.
Be able to work overtime as needed.
Have outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with event-day preparation and execution.
Manage venue entry by collecting or scanning tickets, verifying wristbands and badges, and directing incoming and outgoing traffic.
Screen guests at entry by searching bags, using hand wands or metal detectors, and verifying identification.
Monitor vital checkpoints for security breaches and protect guests, staff, and venue assets.
Respond promptly to potential crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when ejections are warranted.
Understand and follow the policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events.
Provide a positive guest experience at entrances, aisles, concourses, and other assigned locations.
Provide guests with helpful directions and suggestions to enhance their entertainment experience.
