About The Position

Allied Universal Event Services is hiring part-time Event Security staff to support local events. The role helps ensure guest and venue safety while delivering customer service. Duties include checking bags, controlling access, and implementing venue policies and procedures. The position offers a flexible schedule, with shifts that may include evenings and weekends, and pays $15.50 per hour with weekly pay. No prior experience is required.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; additional screening may be required when driving a customer- or company-owned vehicle.
Use good independent judgment and discretion.
Be able to work overtime as needed.
Have outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with all aspects of event-day preparation and execution.
Manage venue entry by collecting or scanning tickets, verifying wristbands and badges, and directing incoming and outgoing traffic.
Screen guests at entry using bag searches, hand wands or metal detectors, and ID verification.
Protect guests, staff, and venue assets by monitoring vital checkpoints for security breaches.
Respond promptly to potential crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when ejection is warranted.
Understand and follow the policies, procedures, and regulations of different venues, facilities, and events.
Provide a positive experience for guests at facility entrances, aisles, concourses, and other locations.
Offer guests helpful directions and suggestions to enhance their entertainment experience.
