About The Position

The Holiday Cashier Associate supports the customer experience at Williams-Sonoma by providing personalized service at the cash wrap, processing transactions accurately, and helping customers find products and resolve issues. The associate maintains an upbeat store atmosphere, communicates product and promotion information, and supports the presentation and supplies of the cash wrap area. The role also contributes to a respectful, inclusive workplace and follows company policies and procedures.

The posting describes availability expectations for both full-time associates and Part-Time Flex associates. Full-time associates are expected to have open availability to meet business needs. Part-Time Flex associates must be available for at least two regularly scheduled weekend shifts and two weekday shifts; additional availability is required to be scheduled for 20 or more hours weekly.

• Be able to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
• Be able to operate a POS system.
• Be able to lift and mobilize medium to large items weighing up to 75 lbs., using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Full-time associates are expected to have open availability to meet business needs.
• Part-Time Flex associates must be available for at least two regularly scheduled shifts on separate weekend days (Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday) and two shifts during the week (Monday through Thursday). Greater availability is required to be scheduled for 20 or more hours weekly.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep the store atmosphere lively and upbeat for customers and teammates.
• Engage multiple clients at the cash wrap and provide personalized service that creates a positive impression.
• Accurately and efficiently process register/POS transactions, sales, returns, and exchanges.
• Ensure merchandise is rung up and priced accurately, applying appropriate price overrides when needed.
• Communicate product information, care, maintenance, timeframes, and delivery details to manage customer expectations.
• Affirm customers’ purchases and suggest additional merchandise that complements their selections.
• Inform clients about promotions that may affect sales.
• Share information and testimonials about products, in-store events, and workshops.
• Maintain visual standards and supplies in the cash wrap area.
• Use available resources to help customers obtain desired items and resolve issues.
• Perform other duties assigned by management and comply with company policies and procedures.
