About The Position
The HME Intake Specialist receives and processes Home Medical Equipment requests from the medical community and customers. The role includes verifying insurance, obtaining prior authorization, processing insurance changes, and ensuring insurance reimbursement requirements are met. The specialist maintains a professional image and reflects Munson Healthcare’s values.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three years of related office or durable medical equipment experience, preferably in the healthcare field.
- Valid Michigan driver’s license.
- Current Michigan motor vehicle license and an insured vehicle available for required errands in various weather conditions.
Nice To Haves
- Additional college-level courses preferred.
- Related office or durable medical equipment experience in the healthcare field preferred.
