About The Position

U-Haul is seeking a hard-working, knowledgeable Hitch Service Technician to work in U-Haul Moving and Storage Center lots, providing outstanding service to customers through technical expertise. The role involves explaining U-Haul towing packages, recommending and installing packages for customer vehicles, and providing customer support. Technicians participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University. The position is located at 1647 N 5th St, Reading, Pennsylvania 19601. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. U-Haul states that, consistent with applicable state law, it will not hire or re-hire individuals who use nicotine products in Pennsylvania and other listed states.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
Basic wiring and hand/power tool experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Understand and explain U-Haul’s variety of towing packages.
Recommend and install the right tow package on customer vehicles.
Provide exceptional customer service and support to U-Haul customers.
Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
Perform other duties as assigned.
