About The Position
U-Haul is seeking a hard-working, knowledgeable Hitch Service Technician to work in U-Haul Moving and Storage Center lots and provide service to customers using technical expertise. The role involves explaining towing packages, recommending and installing suitable packages on customer vehicles, and providing customer support. The position includes ongoing education through U-Haul University. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. U-Haul describes its hiring process as “Hire Fast, Pay Fast,” with paid hands-on working interviews and a $100 hiring bonus after completing U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification through its 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program at retail stores.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record.
- Basic wiring and hand/power tool experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Understand and explain U-Haul’s variety of towing packages.
- Recommend and install the right tow package on customer vehicles.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to U-Haul customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
