About The Position
Responsible for releasing protected health information from patients' external agencies/businesses (such as attorneys and insurance companies) and internal and external healthcare providers.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree, or a high school diploma or equivalent with applicable experience.
- For candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent: three years of experience in clinical or technical office support in a healthcare environment is required.
Responsibilities
- Reviews the validity of requests.
- Forwards all subpoenas and court orders to the Manager/Supervisor.
- Identifies and copies the information requested.
- Logs all requests into the ChartMaxx Release of Information Module.
